RingClone vs RingCentral Archiver – Which One to Use?

We often get asked what the differences are between RingClone and the RingCentral Archiver. There are several differences between the two apps, and there are several reasons that someone may choose one or the other. These choices usually come down to functionality, features, and cost. We created a comparison table (below) to highlight the differences between the two applications, and hopefully make your decision process easier. But first, lets highlight some differentiators of RingClone that benefit the end user:
  • Search and retrieval:

RingClone provides free text search by name, extension, phone number, date, direction, duration, and much more for all your call activity. Use the built-in compliance tool to download batches of content for compliance or for investigative reasons.

  • Search at any scale

RingClone’s powerful search engine gives you access to navigate your data instantly, whether your business handles 100 calls per day, or 100,000 calls per day.

  • You are the data recipient

RingClone’s unique pass-through model sends all data to the destination of your choice, using configuration rules you provide. Use Google Drive, Amazon S3, Azure Blob, OneDrive, Box.com, DropBox, or your on-premises storage.

  • Report from your data source

Fulfill compliance requirements without sacrificing security or features. All data exploration tools and monitoring tools utilize your data. You own your data. RingClone organizes, indexes, and monitors it.

  • Classify your data automatically

All data is automatically classified by user, date and time, extension number, email address, call center identifier, and more. Set-up a custom configuration once, and your data is structured and archived accordingly.

  • Built in monitoring

RingClone tracks archiving stats in near-real-time. Our quality control team keeps a constant eye on archiving activity to help detect if there is an outage of some kind.

  • Outage handling

The system actively scans your activity on an ongoing basis. If there is an outage, RingClone will automatically pick-up the call activity that was missed within three days. If the outage lasts longer than three days, we will backdate our processes to get every data-point missed.
